User Experience Management Methodology

Interface design and development at UserWorks is a complete user-centered process. It starts with the analysis of user profiles, their requirements and end objective/s of our clients, moving forward to sketch work and illustration, design prototyping, implementation, usability testing and evolution of the design. The user experience design process stages can be broadly classified as follows:

Step1. Stake holder vision and objectives

  • Interact with client/stakeholders to understand the focus
  • Undertake competitive analysis of defined objectives
  • Assign a multidisciplinary team ensuring complete end to end expertise

Step2. Target-User Analysis

  • Create user profiles
  • Understand the socio-economic and cultural segment of the end user
  • Document use-cases and performance requirements
  • Define usability goals and objectives
  • Conduct field studies as per requirements

Step3. Artwork and Design development

  • Work with design concepts – Considering Metaphors, Colours, Personality, Character, Culture and Neuro-Linguistic Associations and Messages
  • Define navigation model and information architecture.
  • Drawing Board - Create illustrations and walk through
  • Develop design prototype/s
  • Evaluate Usability and information flow of the prototype with user feedback
  • Finalize design concept

Step4. Design Implementation

  • Decide on technology components based on media platform
  • Co-ordinate technical implementation

Step5. Deployment and Usability testing

  • Deployment of the User Interface (Web sites, splash screens, application interfaces, desktop clients etc..)
  • Feedback studies of the interfaces - analysis of actual user feedback

Step6. Content and site optimization

  • Fine tune, manage add-ons based on test results
